I think CFLs are better than incandescent. The heat output alone is worth the change to CFL

Incandescent lights are way ineffecient. They release most of their energy as heat, and Use way to many watts for the lumens they produce. Look for CFL's in the 2700K(kelvin) spectrum, they're the good ones for flowering. How big is your plant? I'm guessing it's pretty small, yeah, CFL's are the way to go

ok nice! i been doin some reading and yes CFLs are great for flowering right now i only have one plant but in the future i would like to add 2 more given to the space i have provided in my closet. sooo im assuming i can use 1 CFL at 125W with 2700K for the flowering phase for one plant correct me if im wrong!! lol...BTW my plant right now is almost 20 inches high..

1 CFL at 125W actual watts should work well. You should also LST your plants so they get more light.

Yeah, LST(low stress training) is good to keep an even capnoy and drop those lights as close as possible. It's optimum to keep the lights within 2 inches of your plants...really the closer without them touching the plants the better, but sometimes plants like to grow into the lights so they require daily adjusting. Also, with CFL's and wattage the package generally comes with 2 wattages...there's an incandescent equivalant(garbage number, ignore this) and actual wattage...Always go by actual wattage. For a 20" plant you should go with several CFL's that are somewhere between 26 and 42 actual watts a piece...Then you can wind up with nuggets that look like this...

That was my first crack at growing under CFL's...Before that it was only outdoor for me, but the CFL's yielded some decent buds.
