INDICA?or EARLY GROWTH patterns

hi there, ive been on my first grow for about 3 weeks, thats when i planted the first seed. That one is doing great now, and it started off with floro tubes.
The other 4 plants basically started off under an hps light 400 watts.
The younger ones which are still only developing their first three leaves are starting to look more like an indica plant, despite them all being the same strain (ice). They have quite wide and thick leaves, completely different to the older one which had more floro light which resembles more of a sative/hybrid plant. Also, im seing that the second most developed plant is getting droopy leaves and looks kinda flabby and crinkled. It still looks healthy none the less, but i was wandering why it changed from a nice perky looking plant, to a more flabby one.
Yesterday, i transplanted all of them, maybe they had a bit of shock or something.

Yes, maybe a bit of shock. Did you make sure they weren't root bound? If they were in the smaller pots for too long the roots will not fill the new bucket. A lot of soil growers will slice the bottoms of the roots on transplant, so that they are all pointing downwards and have an easier time growing into the new space.

I've heard that description of wider, thicker leaves before for a seedling vegged under HPS lighting. I'd guess it's to do with that, but it's just hear say!

Strains today are mostly hybrids. You could buy a pack of seeds and every single plant will be different. Some will follow the sativa line, others the indica, and the best ones will be somewhere in between.

i have plants cloned from another garden and my leaves vary but hps gives denser light and plants like it more too, so its common.
