Indoor and outdoor?

this will be my second outdoor grow started from clones last year want to use seeds this year was thinking about starting my seeds indoor get them to about 3-4ft tall then moved them outdoor when the sun light gets better my question is I’m trying to keep my electricity down since I split it with room mates who don’t grow or smoke so would it hurt the plant if I put it in the sun until about 6:30-7pm when the sun gets down then move them into my grow tent for an additional 4-6 hr of light?

Dont forget about bugs and draggin unwanted stuff inside your grow room

As for mixing lights I dont want to say much because i have not grown outside since 1995

I like to control as many variables as i can and keep stress to a min

You could do it but @Dieseltech is correct. They will inevitably get pests and you will be dragging them inside every night. I would just do one or the other and stick with it. Pay more of the power bill if you have too or just grow outdoors since you can.

I have grown many cycles over the years moving plants in and out . For the same reasons as you . I never have Any problems they love it . I look at it like growing outside all year here in Socal . Only problem is that is can be a lot of extra work snd you must be consistent with getting then indoor on time . I say do it . It’s fun

Start plants indoors here and then veg them outside in the Land of the Midnight Sun. Only warning is they get big (duh) and you should keep flowering space in mind. I got a little enthusiastic year before last and it took a pickup to move the surplus ones to the nearest town to flower. Had to split it with the guys who took them to finish them.
