So i havent found a perfect description on how to water, most people care telling me with my 3 gallon pots what I should do run enough water through the pot to start to see run off, then leave it as is and let it get close to drying before doing it again, Also im going to feed nutes every other water. SO, my question!

If im watering enough to see some run off every feeding, and im only running running a nuted feed then straight water then nuted, then straight water etc, whats the difference between a standard watering an actually the plant 2 weeks before harvesting if im always watering enough to see some run off?

Any help regarding either question is greatly appreciated!

I do really understand your question but will try and help, in the last two weeks u just feed only water till you have about 20% run of n carry on doin that till harvest on your wet/ dry cycle sorry if this hasn't helped but thought I'd try.

I find different strains to like water in different ways. As a grower look less for what everyone else does and more about what your plant wants. Taking a general note on what you should look for is the real question, such as the top few inches of media being dry, picking up your plant and feeling its weight after a good watering to know how much water is in there (you will feel a substantial weight difference in wet to dry soil) or even watching the leaves reach and shoot up looking to cup or grasp any moisture. My Pacific Goo loves water... seems like she cant get enough sometimes so I water almost every other day lightly with little to no run off. On the other hand my bubblegum and super silver likes to dry out until the mix is bone dry, and prefers a heavy soaking. It always varies with strains in my experience, that is why i see a major importance of learning a strain before you deem it "gwop".

Edit- also the final flush 2 weeks or so before harvest or to correct PH or soil issues is usually done to remove almost ALL of the salts and nutes in the soil to get better smoke all around. most people say flush with 2-3 times your containers volume with ph adjusted water.....however 3 years later I find just simply watering with clean water for 2 weeks a little heavier each watering does the trick to removing most harsh tastes.

Your question is confusing. Here is what I do. First, as you get to know your plants you will know how much and when. Next, I water every other time on some strains and every third time on some. I water until I get a slight bit of runoff, pretty much the same when I nute. I don't give anything except r/o water the last 2 weeks. If I am running a 10 week strain I flush 10 days before harvest. Eight weeks = 8 days and so on. I agree with boonbat some strains suck down a lot of water and some not so much. Like I said you will get to know your plants real well before harvest. I would get rid of those 3 gal pots and go to 5, bigger plant and you don't have to water quite as often.
