Indoor growing

Hello, guys,

Hope everything is going well at you. I am opening this thread being curious about your opinion on a specific idea.
- Our girls are approaching the end of their veg phase. During all the veg phase they had nighttime during 12am – 6am. Recently we discovered that in the area we live in we have a problem with the power grid, there are a lot of people in the area using power during daytime & this causes a low intensity of the power in our growing rooms.
- that’s why we tought about a switch: soon we will pass them to flowering phase and we are wondering if the interval 12am – 12pm is a good idea for daytime for the girls. We think that by night people don’t use as much power as they do during the day.
- Do you think this is a good idea, or should we make this switch from the very beginning, when the girls are in the clone phase?
Tnx & looking forward to hearing from you!

You can choose any 12hr period. I go 7pm to 7am as hydro at minimum during that time. They will adjust when you put them into 12hr all on own. Takes an average of 2 to 3 weeks to be in flower, l feed veg during this time and find l get less stretch and more growth overall. I veg 18 to 24hr depending on temps and season. And lighting used. As low as 16hr veg with non dimmable 660w leds. At about 2 and a half ft away, l dont have much overhead room in tent. Hope something in here helps out. Happy growing!

I do 9 pm to 9 am
Power discounts are from 8pm to 11am and I like the flexibility of checking on plants evenings and mornings

Switch to running your lights at night if it fits into your schedule. Indoors in an artificial environment you can make day and night whenever you want.

I'm doing 10pm to 9am. I've been running my lights at night for years to take advantage of the lower electricity pricing during off-peak hours. The 11/13 schedule is because I'm running landrace sativas right now.

i’m running 100% sativas now too but using 12/12 have done 10/14 even but they seem to be maturing just fine under 12/12 for now but i guess it does save you a week or so with a shorter lights on schedule
