indoor light vs outdoor light

Just a question guys...

is 10 hours of indoor cfl light equivalent to 10 hours of outdoor light?

Let me put it in context for you....i have two sour diesel clones vegging indoors under an 18/6 light cycle under 4 23w cfls.....i want to flower outside but am scared about revegging bc the days are now gonna start getting longer here in so cal. However, a drop from 18 hours in cfl to 11-13 hours sunlight is still a 7-5 hour drop in light iF the cfl and sunlight hours are equivalent.... make sense? Thanks guys

i think outdoors is always best to make up stronger plants, about light i go with sunlight, mother nature is the best.

But that's my opinion

they would probably flip but i doubt they would finish...you would have to light dep them...sour d can take like 10 weeks...

I have some ECSD clones that I took and tossed outside last week. I expect them to finish out before revegging even with the days getting longer now. The buds will likely be light and fluffy but I wanted to see what they would do in the elements as well as if I could get them to finish before summer. I think I will be successful. :) You should be able to pull it off.

Yeah, I'm throwin all my moms out this weekend. They have beeen under 24 hr light for awhile now. Got a nice raised bed ready for them to flower. Me thinkin w/ the temps mine should come out pretty nice.

Awesome!....i have some gsc moms i dont have any room for....what size pots you using?

We're still over a month away from Spring equinox, being 12/12 equal. If you try flowering those, they will become confused and perhaps self-pollinate come April.

I would use the sun to veg for a while, then keep them awake at night with your CFL's...which is barely enough wattage for seedlings let alone clones.

I always veg my plants indoors and then move them outside to flower. As soon as I put them out they go to flower. I try to put them outside every 30 days. It takes the first one 2 months to flower so from that point on I harvest every 30 days. I really prefer the smaller more frequent harvests. Another reason I like to flower outside is that I use alfalfa tea to water my plants and it smells like horse shit.. But the plants love it.. :eyesmoke:

u can't beat direct sun for growing. for cloudy days and when needed at night i supplement with cfl's. GL

Nice. You will see a change in leaf structure in about a week (setting up) and you should start seeing hairs by week 2. :)

Here is a quick shot of mine that has been out for about a week now.

Nice fuckin plant angryblackman . Mine looks all weird bc i tied it down right before these pics. I fully expect it to fill out tho.... cant wait to see the hairs too! Flowering is my fav part! Haha

Thanks man. This was a clone I received from another member in November I think? Vegged that under t-12's for 3 weeks, took clones and tossed her out. :)
