indoor seed vs. clone ?'s

so i'm looking at getting a growbox and starting some crops this summer. planned on starting with seeds until i read a bit about it would be a bad idea to start with seeds always while indoors?

what's the validity to this? i'd love the idea of cloning to save time and money on seeds, but don't really think i'm quite ready with knowledge to delve into that. i've read the threads, but to me it seems there's a lot of room for error and clones that don't take. i'm pretty much doing this solo so it's not going to be easy for me to turn to a friend for help.

the woes of planting, i'll tell ya...

any word of advice would be awesome.

is cloning as difficult as it really seems to pull off? i'm worried about wasting a mother and precious time to bad clones!

If you have a nice female you like its always best to keep cloning her. With seeds its always a crap shoot. You have to veg them before finding out the sex, and that can be costly and wasteful when you yank all the boys
