Inflation and Biden

More Americans said they trust Trump, the 2024 Republican primary front-runner, than Biden to improve the economy by a 47%-36% margin. The spread is 46%-26% in Trump's favor among independent voters.

Nearly all Republicans surveyed expressed pessimism about the economy, according to the poll: 96% said it is getting worse, not better. But 76% of independents and even 34% of Democrats also said the economy is getting worse.

Now, though, the United States is beating its competitors in lowering inflation. The U.S. has a lower inflation rate than any other member of the G7 group of large economies. And among a broader group of advanced industrialized nations, only a few countries beat the United States’ inflation rate.

US annual inflation posts smallest rise in more than two years

First, let’s look at the members of the G7 — Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. (Current data are not available for Japan, so we’ll set it aside.)

For the first half of 2022, the U.S. had the highest inflation rate of any G7 country. But in the most recent data, covering July 2023, that has reversed: The U.S. now has the lowest inflation of any G7 country.

From February 2023 to June 2023, the U.S. was a close second to Canada for the G7’s lowest inflation rate. Then, in July 2023, the United States edged slightly lower than Canada, sealing its lowest-in-the-G7 status.

In July 2023, the United States’ 3.2% rate was better than Canada’s 3.3%, France’s 4.3%, Italy’s 5.9% and Germany’s 6.2%, and it was half of the United Kingdom’s 6.4% rate.

But, but, but, but Biden!

Fuck you, you assholes.

Bidens policies, besides the Inflation Reduction Act which is working, had absolutely nothing to do with the inflation rate which has and still is affecting the whole world.

But meanwhile his accomplishments are ignored

Not really great but what countries are today and they are better than 2 years ago.

The #1 bitch is gas and food costs.

Fuel costs driven by Saudi Arabia/OPEC cutting back on production to fuck over everything alive.

Oil jumps 2% to near 10-month high as OPEC predicts tight supplies | Reuters

Yea, Biden did that.

Food costs driven up because cattle were dropping dead and farms turned into deserts and didn't have anyone to pick the crops and Russia blowing up a major supplier of wheat

Yup, reelect Trump to save the economy and good luck with that

Biden also was responsible, right?

You forget, Americans (present company excepted) do not look outside of the US to any great extent. When you live in a bubble you can only compare what you have with what you had.

And a curse word used today by Republicans and other fools in this country is Globalist, meaning that anyone looking at the World economies and other world wide responses to challenges facing the world, we don't care about and have no interest in understanding or helping in anyway.
America 1st and fuck the rest, except Israel of course.
Those fools still don't understand we are all in this mess together. like it or not.
As is said, we all go down together, but the USA has a very hard time understanding that.

All presidents ride all coat tails and take all blame.
Economy was good when trump took office and he pounded the strong economy for political points while making terrible economic policies.
Biden inherited a global economic down turn and will be blame for it no matter how well he preforms relative to other countries.

It’s become a cyclic thing since Reagan. Democrat administrations working like galley slaves to repair the economic damage done by Republican ones. Republican economic policy is pure poison if your net worth isn’t twenty million plus.

Regan took the deficit from 70B to 175B
Bush #1 took it to 300B
Clinton got it to zero
Bush #2 took it from zero to 1200B
Obama halved it to 600B
Trump took it over 1000B in 2019 before covid and it skyrocketed after that

The republicans constantly whine about the deficit when in reality, they've created it almost entirely through corporate and the top 1% tax cuts.
Trickle-down my ass

Yes Biden is responsible for a lot of it. His economic policies suck and thankfully more people are finally figuring it out. It's pretty obvious how it really is in the polls including the one in your post. He can keep telling everyone how great Bidenomics is working but most of us see it's bullshit. I get the tactic though. Repeat the same bullshit over and over and people will believe it. It's like flushing.

I will always respect Biden for one thing:

He saved Social Security from the Republican shredder.

P01135809 and the rest of the vandals still want to dismantle the one piece of social democracy we have left after the Extreme Court decided women belong to the state, and the health of the environment is unimportant. They must be stopped.

The two great enemies of the republic have names. They are the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society. They are the incubators of American fascism. They are behind the conversion of the Repugs into a party that has disavowed the Constitution of the United States. An entire political party has cleansed itself of its moderates and embraced overthrow, minority rule and toxic evangelical dominionism as its “principles”.

They must be stopped, or we really and truly “won’t have a country any more”.

Numbers are real, your perception of the economy is not.

Numbers are real. And thanks to Bidenomics it's now even harder for the average American to buy a home.

Not when they're coming from the Heritage Foundation.

The Heritage Foundation is one of the prime engines of seditious untruth in the nation today.

Do you have a 401k?
How's that doing?
Looking for a job?
Plenty out there especially in Green energy.
Got a car/pickup that gets 15 miles per?
Too bad.
Name a specific thing about his economic policy that you don't like and we can discuss it

I’m getting 50+ from my Honda (avoirdupois not Imperial, y’all cheats) and I have been ticketed for going too slow. I drive “as if I have to pay for my fuel”.
