Inline Question

Ok I'll make this quick. 4'x4'x6'6" flowering tent with 600w air cooled hood and a huge carbon filter. My question is in regard to my 400cfm inline fan. Ive decided to have my ventilation run from carbon filter - ducting - hood - ducting - fan. However, I can't decide whether to have the fan inside or out of the tent. This tent is in a 4'6"x8'6"x7' foot storage room in my basement with a 4'x2'x5' tent for veg. ANY ventilation advice would be helpful.

If possible I would keep the fan out of the tent...It will give you more room in there and keep the heat produces by the fan out as well.

400 cfm (cubic ft per min) flowering tent = about 120 cubic ft Air exchange rate would be around 3X pqr min . So you need to make that air up to have proper exchange (make up air) what you call Inlet air would need to be about 500 cfm = 10 inch round pipe coming in to tent for fresh air make up. install fan outside tent inline filter would be best so you can exhaust the air out / keep the exhaust air away from the make up air or you are just defeating your quest for proper exhaust. and make sure your filter is adaquite to handle at leat 400 cfm

Just a quick note to all...... Air does not move like water in a pipe, water is moved by PSI and AIR is moved by STATIC Pressure , So when you run air duct remember to make all duct lines as straight as possable ,hard turns (90 deg) elbows have a very great effect on air movement and will diminish your fans capabilty to move the CFM that the fan is rated for , also Rise in ducting has the same effect try to keep everything as level as possable , when making turns try to make them more like 45 deg angle , try not to use the flexable type duct hard pipe moves air much mor efficent , I see most of you guys spend a lot of money on your fans ,those inline turbine stlye fans you use are excelent air movers and are not cheep ,So why skimp on the ductwork witch is the cheep part ,your using the best fans on the market but your cutting down the fans potential with Poor duct work ........
