Instead of Molasses Maple Syrup?

Can you use maple syrup instead of molasses?

Sure, why not. It's a bit more expensive than molasses but not by much. Get the B grade tho, it is less processed.

The trouble with REAL maple syrup is it don't taste very mapley...translates out to just sweet under most circumstances. If you want something to taste like maple you will need to use artificial flavors. It would be cost prohibitive to use it for not much if any gain. If a person don't want the finish product to reek of maple might be ok to use it..but then aint much use of using it for anything. Now I do like it on hotcakes. Some smart person on here recommended Black Strap mollases once upon a time..so thats what I use.

I dont know how the syrup works ,but i can say the plants do love blackstrap mollasses.I didn't use it on my last grow and i wasn't very happy.I just bought some more and hit my new grow with it and they really seem to love it.One night i was smoking and had nothing else in the house .so i drank a whole bottle ofsyrup it was incredible.

The sweetness of maple or molasses is not picked up by the plants. The sugars are simply a good source of carb's and help promote a good root system and a strong vitality. It is the same for you and I except we have the trick of taste buds to induce us to consume it.

Thanks guys, I cant seem to get my hands on molasses.

my brother watered my plants with straight lipton tea and the plants trimmed themselves... i.e the leaves all turned brown and fell off, leaving a big bud on a stick, which actually lived. all the buds grew for like a week more. damnedest thing i've seen.
should be a new harvest/trim technique...

where can i find a molasses guide in English? also can i find molasses to use at my local walmart?

Sure they got some kind of Molasses. Kroger has it down here in God's Country. Might try the ye old health food shoppe. They bound to have it. Its very healthy for a person. Lot of horticulture/gardening places carry it too. It's not a new concept to use it on plants.

Here's your guide. 1 tablespoon per gallon. You can give it to them throughout your grow.

how bout corn syrup?

In principle it should be the same, but I've never head of anyone using it so I would "test" it first on one plant.

I have seen people use:

Blackstrap Mollasas
Sorghum
Sucanat
Treacle
Sugar in the Raw
and
Maple Syrup

I guess the whole idea behind it is to supply simple carbohydrates that plants can process into producing more resin and plumping them up during the end of flowering.

There are alot of Hydro companies that make products with simple carbs in them too. I use Technaflora nutes and they make a product called Sugar Daddy which is just some kind of syrup in a fancy bottle

im using honey and water..melt down the honey with boiling water and mix it up, let it cool to room temp and age a little bit
and voila...honey water. i think according to the criteria it should be suitable as well. i remember a friend of mine used to glaze blunts in honey and then roast them...best tasting blunt ever

test the PH though and let us know your reading plz i'm to lazy.

hahaha lol , im buying molasses today, im going to start using them , in every watering is this ok?, i water every other day, and use nutes every other watering, i've read here you can start molasses iin every water at a ratio of one tablespoon per gallon, is it one or two tablesppon i have rread different opinions here,
and does anybody now how much would this increase PPM?
