The drunk doctor who delivered her Wrote on her Birth certificate
Leonard and listed her as a boy.

In order for My grandmother to rectify this She has to set up a court date in Texas and have a living relative attest to the fact they were present during the birth of my grandmother shes 92 there are no living relatives

Yeah Getting a state ID is real easy. Her drivers license expired in 1974 and cant be used either because it is expired and doesnt have a picture on it

How does one get an absentee ballot? Make a phone call, send something in the mail? Last I checked neither phones nor stamps were free. So still a "tax" by your argument.

Yes there are situations where it can be a pain to get your birth certificate but it is not impossible. Same goes for your social security card. The difficulty is not restricted to minorities.

The fee for ID is for maintaining the ID database. The price does not fluctuate for minorities.

i told my story because being SWF makes me a me a minority however, having a car and being employed at the time, i had to go through so much..i could only imagine the stumbling blocks for others who aren't as lucky as myself to have had transportation and disposable income in order to make this "transition" for the state of florida..have i mentioned how much i despise governor dick rott?
