intake from house, extract to loft..

can i do this?

i live in a pretty small terraced house in the uk, i feel paranoid being the only person on the street with my window constantly open (for intake)

ive heard of humidity problems when extracting to a loft... im goint to be running 2 x 400w's what do you guys think?
