Boo Hoo, this is what I have done for years. DO NOT use an inline fan for an exhaust fan, they don't move shit for air. Use a decent fan and carbon filter, if you, can't afford to buy a filter there are tons of DIY instructions on the net, and here on this site. I have cut 2 ,3 inch V's at the bottom of the tent, and tape the point of the v open to allow air inflow. It don't take huge vent openings. You don't want "no pressure", you want negative pressure to maintain smell integrit. Hence the filter on the fan. Also the exhaust must be at the top of the tent to remove the heat, and the intake at the bottom. If you over-complicate your gear, it's just more stuff to go wrong. Keep it simple. Not all of us are inconsiderate assholes. I. Have two masters degrees and a doctorate in 3 different areas, and I realize that this forum is here for ANYONE, and courtesy doesn't cost a dime. I do however have to agree with his statement that there is no place in non-computer use for shorthand. Miss-spellings are not as bad as short spell, and there are an amazing number of us out here that are old farts, I'm over 60,and you can disregard my musings if you want, but there is a huge wealth of advice in us old farts, and you came to our game. Don't try to impose your rules on those that were .here long before you. I'm not saying I agree with the troll flaming you like that, but it's kinda like immigration tog .America. It's up to you to try to blend in, and it is up to us to make it easy for you. Peace & be kind

Just so that you are aware.

No grow room air will be going through your filter at present.

What's happening is that your 5" fan is blowing cold air into your tent and forcing warm air out wherever it can, not just in one direction.

"My way" has served many growers well.

If you want here Is a link to a documented article posted in a growing magazine.

http://urbangardenmagazine.com/2010/07/planning-your-grow/

It outlines everything I've talked about.

Nowhere in the article does it talk about using only a fan for intake.

If you don't change your mindset about this way of yours ill be speaking with you again in about 8 weeks when you'll be posting a thread titled "help my whole block of flats stinks of weed".

Good luck and see you in 8 weeks.

Oscillating fans do nothing more than blow around air.

What is the make and model of the fan you are using?

Do you know what m3/h it moves?

I use an RVK150E2-A1 rated at 480m3/h with a 400w.

Its a 6".

IMO you should realistically have a 6" fan pushing nearly 500m3/h in order to effectively cool the area.

i dint have anoth money for it :( .lol ill get thanks for your help the ...rep for you ;)
This is why it isn't working the correct way.

When you can you'll need the 6" but unfortunately now you'll also need the 6" filter to match because if you upgrade to the 6" fan the current 5" filter will not be rated high enough to use with the fan.

There maybe one other way that allows you to use your current equipment.

Look into a 5" cooltube or 5" air cooled reflector.

But in my opinion you'd be best to use the 6" fan.

If you couldn't afford the 6" fan you should have opted for the 400w system.

Lol
Sorry but I too lol.

This statement is one from a person that hasn't grown weed before. The smell is unreal, some strains I grow stink.

You're going to stink up the block of flats where you live.

A cheap air cooled reflector will run you around £45.

Then you can go

Filter - air cooled reflector - fan - out.

Virtually zero smell.

But hey ho I tried to warn you.

Speak to you again in a few weeks.
