Interesting...need advice

So im about 1.5 weeks into the grow. I had to transplant the root twice becaused the bottom inch started to rot in the other setup. Anyway, the plant has 2 obvious pairs of nodes with the 3rd and 4th coming in. Here's my dilemma, the big pair of leaves, one has a browned/yellowed crispy tip, but only a bit of the tip. The other leaf as well as one of the 2nd nodes leaves have this white sediment around the edges of the plant. The first node leaves also twisted just slightly, and the strangest is the fact that the leaves are all pointed up at like 35-45 degrees angles. I have looked up deficiencys and etc over and over and over. I cant seem to find out what's up.

Ps dont ask for a picture, my camera has zero close up focusing ability.

what lights are you using? what is your water schedule? what medium are you using? give us more info and we can be more helpful.

right:

Soil is fresh soil from a very rife national forest, ph is 6.2.

I water em every other day, spray the top every day.

Im using Two CFL tubes, 40 watts each. Light is about 3 inches from plant

light location is good.
soil is ok, may be burning the plants (which could be your issue)
you spray the top of the soil? or the plant? don't be spraying the plant.

Agreed. Despite popular belief, cfls will burn your plants. Personally, 3 inches is still too close for me. Water on the leaves with the lights on will certainly burn them, it seems worse when they are wet.

Well, ive been using cfl's with no burning and ive kept mine an inch from the plant. But at the same time mine r less watts. But im not so sure about the tubes. i got the coil kind. What could be happening is when you spray them down. The heat from the light could be drying the water 2 quickly off them which would cause them to dry out. Ur lights should be fine where they are. But. stop spraying them and they shuld be fine. Or mabye. are you giving them nutes??. Hopefully not. and if you are stop asap

no nutes. i do believe i was watering too much and the light did burn the leaves with the water like yall said. im gonna just let the soil dry out until tonight.

curling, white sediment.. i might sound silly here because i am stoned.. but have you checked them looked. under the curled edge... you say the compost was from a farm.. might be caterpillers...
