Interupted Light Cycle

I have a 400watt MH pulse start ballast with a 400watt
HPS conversion bulb.

The bulb works for about 5 hours before shutting off.
I replaced it with my MH grow bulb for now.

I ordered a 600 watt HPS to replace the 400 watt.
I figured the area (4 x 3.5 x 9 tall) needed more light anyway!

This occurred for 5 days! Will these plants be messed up? (hermied) ?

it is never good. but i have had some slip ups in my schedules... and i never had any major problems... but you can never be too sure.

try your best to keep it on scheule. good luck.

I would think 5 days is not good and you could have hermies. It depends how far into flower you were and how much light hours they recieved. 5 hours light and 19hrs dark early in the flower cycle should not be too bad! I hope you ordered a 600w ballast to go with the 600w bulb because your 400w ballast wont light a 600w. Good luck with your grow!

It was the beginning of the flower stage. Yep ordered a digital ballast to go with the light.
