iPhone I bought was stolen..?

iPhone wasn't really stolen, the owner lost it.. Technically since he was deprived of his iPhone it is now stolen.

Hello everyone, just looking for some opinions. I'll keep it short and sweet. I don't even know what I should do here.

I'm doing my daily sell run and while a buyer of mine was in my car he whopped out a iPhone and said "look what I found on the side of the road".He asked me if I wanted to buy it, says he got offered $20 for it.

So I gave him $60 and a few grams for the thing, I was planning on selling it on ebay/giving it as a present. There was a few people there and I said that if anyone asks I didn't buy it, you don't know me.

iight, so i'm chillin at my friends house a few hours later and I get a call, saying someone came to my house looking for his iPhone.. Turns out one of the fucking kids got offered $20 to return the $300 phone, and they ratted me out in hopes of getting $20 bucks.

So now I have a choice, give the iPhone back to the guy who bought it, the guy who offered $20 for a $300 phone.. The guy that lost it on the side of the road. Doing this I will lose my $60 and my weed as the kid I sold it too doesn't have the cash, or the dope (got tons of dope and money, it's principle).

OR keep the iPhone, I bought it off someone and paid them a respected price.

What would you do?

Man, I would try to get something back from the dude you bought it from, but morals would win out with me.

Even if I didn't know all the cops personally, they couldn't do shit. They can't even legally come on my property to question me.

Seriously, what could he do? Being in the business I am I've had bigger, scarier people then that at my house before, over alot more then a iPhone.

Tell the guy that you bought the phone from somebody and you will do him a favor and sell it back to him for what you paid for it, even though it is worth alot more. Then its basically up to him to decide, either reimburse you or lose the phone.

60 bucks aint a repsectable price but whatever you got fooled, i would give back the phone and kick the kids asshole wide and make the sun shirn there !

Okay bro, In all seriousness I would first go over to the kids house you bought it from threaten him to give you your moneys worth or your money back right now or there will be consequences, then after you have your shit back give the phone back. That is the most panzy thing the kid could do is to sell you it THEN rat you out. I would do this ASAP too before he hears word of it and trys to call some boys.

Geez. $60 for an iphone is a fair price?

You are going to continue to have these problems if you continue these shaddy dealings.

This is an ordeal that your brought on yourself. You bought a stolen / lost phone (which you knew - "look what I found on the side of the road") and if you are a man you will give it back and learn a $60 lesson.

First off, let's make this clear. I'm a twenty-somthing, and i'm married. If you read what I wrote you would have clearly understood that this "friend" was really just a 18 year old ADULT that I sell dope too.

I also made it extremely clear that I can't get the money back, AND THE GUY WHO SOLD IT TO ME WASN'T THE ONE WHO RATTED ME OUT.

I got call from his local PD, I told them politely to go fuck themselves and if he steps on my property I will canada's version of castle law. This was because this morning he tried threatening me, saying he will hound me down. I also plan on meeting him when he's with his daughter tonight at soccer.

Ok tough guy, now you're totally going about it the right way...lol I did read the thread and no where in it does it say "this "friend" was really just a 18 year old ADULT that I sell dope too." until just now.
Keep selling to people that steal from others and buying what they've stolen; good luck dodging that karma. If you're 20-something and married you should be smart enough to get something like an iphone brand new so it has a warranty anyfrickinway. Through.

I'd give it back, maybe ask for more and tell him you bought it for $45 or whatever and you need to be compensated...

Some guy offers you something for 80% off retail, and you're saying I should feed corporate america and buy it new? Where is the logic in that. AGAIN. The douchebag left it on his truck, and it fell onto the road.

So in your failed logic, I am supposed to NOT buy anything used because it might be stolen. Buddy, you're talking about Karma but yet you're on a illegal manufacturing website. Consummation of marijuana does not kill, but growing marijuana not ONLY kills countless people (Cartels, Gangs, Violence associated with theft of Marijuana) but it also wastes so much money in irratication (Yes, I know it doesn't work but they won't stop until they win) that could be spent in healthcare.

Yet I am the big bad guy because I bought a used iPhone, Fuck you.

It's gonna get turned off. I'm pretty sure apple built that in so as soon as the guy reports it missing you're just gonna be lookin at a beautiful touch sceen paperweight. This guy is hardcore. Look at the very top of the screen, and to the left, and it will clearly say Marijuana GROWING. Do you see a drug dealer forum? Maybe that's where you need to go?

First of all don't call me names, I haven't called you shit.

If someone offered me something at 80% off your damn right I would look into it before giving any type of currency. Knowing now how you roll it doesn't surprise me you would purchase some shiesty merchandise. And instead you want to FEED some punkass kid who stole it. Karma is a bitch my peer.

Sure the federal government in my country may think it is illegal, but my state doesn't. And I have papers to prove it. So get your shit right mr. illegal.
