Is 12/12 Necessary or Maybe 15/9 -14/10 -13/11

Ive seen a article i think in treating yourself (maybe?) or high times where a guy uses the diminishing light theory. Where he basically goes by what the outdoor light schedule would be just in a 8 week pattern. He had some decent results. Controlling this could be done with a home automation software. The timings wouldn't be to bad. You could even find where the strain of plant you are growing originates from and go by there light schedule there could be a neat experiment. Plus i think (keyword) it would/could produce some large buds, but without the testing aspect this is unknown.
I have "heard" of people trying this, but have only read that article about it, btw it was a treating yourself magazine, an you can even download those free from their site. It's a great read and the guy makes some good points.

My question would be then, if you are growing indoors and having the light like it was outdoors wouldn't it then make more sense to veg them longer? even if you used "scrog" or LST i think the effects would be huge. I also wonder what type of effects this would have on your power bill?

I've heard of ppl running 6/12 and finishing early but your yield will reflect it. Instead of running 13/11 to finish earlier, the goal should be running 13/11 to uncrease yield in the same amount of days.

Shaving light hours is shaving yield.

Yes I would agree that when you cut the time you would cut the yield. SO it would be assumed that if you could extend the light it would increase and or speed up the plant/

with 6 hours of light LOL hahaha you cant be serious..
guess what. blow me homey! take that shit talkin somewhere else. i did it, and it worked.... yield was about 30% less accordingly. But I needed to be done quicker. there are quite a few journals of this.....

of course the fuking plant will grow, read a book..cannabis is a "weed" i thought we were talking quality and good yields..by cutting light hours, your cutting THC levels down and yield PERIOD.. HOME-BOOOOYYYYY lol

Thanks for the input on cutting the light I think we all agree that it will finish faster but cut yield. I am interested in extending the light and the effects on the "WEED" LOL
