Is 5000k not as good as people say?

So my 5k is on a 9" plant and it seems to be doing well. The plant is so finicky though, shows cal-mag problems, I feed it a bit then it burns the whole fucking plant. I'm getting so impatient with this damn thing.

I started my seeds and they all sprouted the 21st, they are only under a 15w (1600 lumen) A19 bulb and all of them are all ready turning yellow on the leaves. It's a 2700k bulb. I don't know what the hell is going on, are they just bogus seeds, am I just running into bad luck. I have no fucking clue, my asparagus and leafy greens are doing a OK in the promix outside.

I'm gonna see if my promix in my container has gone down in acidity and that's perhaps why all the growth looks like such shit. Im gonna gently get the seedlings out of the mix anyhow and put them in jiffy mix.

Shit blows, when you spend 600$ on LED and 200$ on seeds and they are under-performing the normal bagseeds and Mars/HID setup I have been running for years. I dont know what to make of it. I'll be reporting back with a pH test when I get back from the box stores. Next round I may just go back to organic, honestly the yields have not been that great in coco or promix, especially not worth the cal/mag bullshit when I can just add a bit of Gardeners lime in soil and be done with it.
LED grows want it warmer than HID.

Ya I was gonna say check your runoff ph. I think 16-18" is good for cob height, im running about 12-14" and it's not awful but I have height limitations, would like to go up to 16-18". Anyway, post more pics of your plants. I also have had calmag problems and a little yellowing but not to the extent I saw in your first pic. I just get yellowish new growth and stripes of yellow on older fan leaves. I am going to try epsom salt in my grow to see if that helps, possibly we are needing more magnesium or sulfur which epsom salt provides. I don't see how your 5000k isn't doing well though other than problems with soil or having the lights too high.

Maybe give your plants a good flush too, who knows what kind of lockouts you might be having.
I think I solved the problem. I mixed some RO water(ph 7.9) and some of the medium and the pH was around 8.3 when mixed. So I have probably been experiencing lockout of most nutrients. I'm gonna gently de-root the lil ones and plant them in straight coco. I think this should help them.

Those 2 are clones planted on 4/22 & were vegged under the Horizon @8 w each until now. Now they're under the 15w spot light getting 7.5 w each. I use the Sylvanias but you can get a generic version too. Got them @ Lowes.
If you get or got the led bulbs, I recommend getting the ones like I use w/ the lens/optics.
I've vegged them pretty big using 1 each plant in 6" Potts. Right up until they were ready for transplant.

Alright everything is back to normal, promix retained a bunch of salts from last grow and the pH was over 8 so those guys had no chance. I got some new coco and everything is rockin back to life.

Thanks for all the help @Hybridway and @CobKits.

Quick question, I got one of those sylvanias flood bulbs with the reflector on it like you do (except its 3000k) today, should I replace the a19 bulb with the slyvania even though the slyvania only puts out 850 lumens at 14w or should I just leave the A19 bulb that supposedly has 1600 lumens at 15w?

Perhaps the sylvanias have a better light intensity because of the reflector? In any case, thanks.
