just fine,id use two....im making a compost tea and i threw the ingredients in a sock. then i tied it in a knot, and tied a rope to it so i can pull it out easily. is it cool to use the sock instead of the other things people suggest?
to keep the chunks of stuff from gettin out? the one i use seems to work pretty good with that. i may throw another on though. thanks for the tipjust fine,id use two....
thats what i was thinkin of doin. the teas pretty much finished now, but next time i think ill try the nylon and see if it gives different resultsi don't see any real reason why it wouldn't work luger, aside from maybe it not being porous enough to allow you to get the most of your teas as if you had used something a lil more porous.. this is only a guess on my part though, nothing to back it up, i'm just thinking aloud, kinda sorta, lol...
other than that, i don't see why a sock can't be used.. maybe a pantyhose would be better if you could steal one from the old lady just for the reason i stated above..
watt did you use to make the tea luger?? i know i started a tea thread on another forum and got a lot of pretty good ideas.. i was using some worm castings on my vegging plants and used it for foliar feeding, and they really seemed to like it.. kept them super lush and green ....thats what i was thinkin of doin. the teas pretty much finished now, but next time i think ill try the nylon and see if it gives different results

thats true. i may just do this lolI just toss the compost in now. No need to bother with a sock or straining it. Unless you're anal about things then knock yourself out.
