Is Co2 The answer to biger yelids?

Alright, i just finished my first grow. I was somewhat disappointed because i thought i knew what to do to get an Oz per plant. I sadly only got 1/4oz per-plant and 2 plants.. So i didnt quite make it to self sufficient.:? My Question is, Is Co2 the key to getting bigger yealds? I have 2clfs per-plant with four folricents bulbs around them.. Im growing hydroponicly using the Flora Nova nuts with the kool bloom and flora plus. I also gave them Co2 proably every 2 to 3 weeks via Dry ice, or bubbly water. I always keep my Ph with in 5.9-6.8 But i didnt get the yealds I wanted. The weeds a great smoke, but i would like much more. Would the $200 to get a nice Co2 set up be worth the cost? Would it increase my yealds? All advice Would be greatly appreciated!!
Hopeful for happy smokes~:joint:

i have read that having a lot of CO2 during light hours will increase yields up to 30%. However, no matter how much CO2 you add, if you are using insufficient light, you will have small yields.

go get yourself a HPS light, dont forget about vents if u go too big on your lights. it would be risky for me to comment on anything over 150 watt HPS. but i dont need any venting with 150 watt id even say u could up to an 400 without venting depending on your area space. also if u want a bigger light dont forget about cooltubes. i hear they help alot on light cooling

Is lighting more important then the Co2? And what type light is best for Budding?
lighting is just as important as co2, they are both essential. i believe what you are asking about is supplemental co2, and that is not nearly as important as a suffeciant light source. HPS and MH are two lamps that are both very good for flower production. some feel that HPS will have a slightly better yield but MH will offer more UV for propper cannabinoid realization.

If you don't increase your light your plant won't have enough energy to use the co2 to its full potential.

Here's my question then on the lighting issue..

If you double the lights your going to technically double heat but won;t the extra light also make the plants use the available co2 faster??? I seem to recall reading that somewhere...

I just turned my co2 on about 10minutes ago..I think I have it adjust right I have it set to run for ten minutes every hour and I also turned the temp up to 85 on my fan so it won't kick on hardly ever...=)

i believe that blunted1 is just blowing smoke up your asshole....

co2 is very beneficial. i wouldnt try to use it on cfls or basic florous.... but HID lighting, yes as well as certain T-style lighting systems.

as long as there is photosynthesis, i blv co2 will be in demand!!!!!.

i agree that you need all levels of your environment very optimal....but double lighting and all that i blv is bullshit.

for hydro:
ph-5.8 is ideal
im really thinking that your money would be better spent on lighting, when starting out stick to the basics leave all the high tech stuff like dry ice ect alone.introduce one new thing or technique each grow so you can see what makes a differance and what doesnt.doing several things all at one is like going to the pharmacist and take one of every pill he has for a headache!!!

I agree with nuts.. I started out basically 1000watt hps well four of them and two 6" exhaust fans..

def get a better light...if you have a 400 or 600 watt hps light on bud that is flowering w/ co2 you'll have bigger buds for sure

Hey Loudblunts, is there an echo in here???

He's using 2 cfl's per plant. Where would you spend your $200?

Alright thanks for the feedback.. It sounds like lighting is the issue, Ill start looking around at different Hps setups. Does anyone have suggestions on which one would be best?
