Is hermie nug worth a damn?

Is it more trouble then its worth the have only one plant that is hermie and keep it?

When a hermie pollinates a female are the seeds??????

Is potency affected?

while theres going to be seeds in the bud u have to pick out and idk about potency and supposedly hermie pollinating a female makes all female seeds

Seeded bud is not as potent as sensimilla.

If a hermie pollinates a regular female the seeds will mostly be female with some chance of hermie. If a hermie pollinates itself the seeds will all be hermie.

if you have only one plant and it turns out to be a hermie.. than yes i would keep it as there are no other plants that it can pollinate..

my suggestion is to pick as many of the pollen sacks off try to get them all, you need to do this because the plant energy is being used to make pollen sacks(seeds) and its not going towards bud growth,,so picking all of them will allow more bud growth and thc production as your plants energy will be going more towards the bud and plant developement insted of the pollen sacks..

and even if you dont pick them the plant is still smokeable.

If you only have one plant definately keep it. It will produce plenty of quality bud.

I dont know about kepping it i would pull it the weed will suck and if you got any local growers around you you can easily polinate there plants. Happened to me i didnt know how my plants were getting seeds in them and then a month later less than a mile from my house they busted a marijuana grow with more than 2000 stress plants and they kept males and hermis and didnt give a fuck cost me some potency

I filter my air intake for this reason. Passive intake, nothing but a big hole with some typical home air filter sheets taped over. Works great.

Intake gets:
(1) dust & pollen filter
(2-4) 1/8" activated carbon filter sheets (enough sheets to block light leaks)

Exhaust gets:
(4-6) 1/8" activated carbon filter sheets (enough sheets to completely scrub odor)

For pollen, air leaks are going to be an issue so they need to get plugged up too. Put a bunch of lit incense inside a space (without plants) and run the exhaust in reverse and any air leaks will be easily identified because they will pour out smoke. To fill in air leaks use: tile caulk, paint, aquarium grade silicon, lead soldering (assuming metal walls)... whatever fills in gaps, applies as a liquid, hardens and cleans well.
