Is it dead or has it got a chance?

Hi,

Im a first time grower, ive made some big mistakes and feel i will learn well from the experience in my second batch.

Im about 7-8 weeks since seeding and its a lowryder 2 x ak .

Now my plant went through a few days where they were basically dying, by the time i realised and recoverd the situation and got things back on track basically alot of my leaves seem dead and have failed to recover and the plant has never realy smelt much.

I have taken some pics and wonderin realy if i should just write this plant off now or if it can still produce something half decent. As it does not seem to be making any more progress as far as i can see.

THey are poor quality pics but i can get better ones if nessessary.
I know i got the environment wrong for a while which is why its ended like this but just wondering if its possible to get anything off it before giving up.

Advice much aprpetiated.

thx

well yea the reason i didnt post them details because everythings been up and down for certain periods resulting in this situation, theyve had good days and bad days due to my own negligence but as i said lesson learned!.

The plant has been subject to the following conditions in its lifetime as far as i can tell which has probably lead to this..:

-Definatly heat exaustion for a while and maybe light burn too.
-possible over nute
-possible under watering.
- Varying ph levels.

Basically i think im in decent enviroment conditions now though:

Watering with ph 6.2.
every 2nd watering im using 4ml of biogrow nutes per 1.5L
daytime temp is about 30-35C
250w hps about 30cm above plants.

I have an oscilating fan in the cupboard. But no air exaust as its not feasable in my current setup/cupboard. Occasionly i open the cupboard and leave the windows open for fresh air.

Hope that helps. I think its got 2 weeks left max based on estimated harvest time so dont know if it can recover in that time or wether its too late.

Unless you're out of space in your grow room or need the pots, just keep 'em until you're sure they're dead. You will be surprised how resilient MJ is. They're probably not growing at the moment because they are sick and are trying to heal themselves first. Those plants look like they have a lot longer than two weeks so just let 'em grow till they die or look ready.

Oh, and if it makes you feel any better I fucked my first grow up in pretty much every way possible and still got stuff out of it. Even your plants do die, at the very least you will learn something from trying to nurse them back to health. Good luck!

alright man...
to me it looks like classic nute burn...i also agree that u have alot more than 2 weeks to go...i'd not give any more nutes and would be fairly confident you'll get a crop:joint:...30cm/12" seems very close to plants...i have a 600w/hps n keep it no closer than 45cm/18"...hope this helps

hey dude.1 more thing bro u might wanna transplant into new soil just to be on the safe side to make sure there is no nutes left in the soil.because if there is everytime u give ur ladie some water it will be releasing a burst of nutrients.also light the other posters said 30cm is very close in my opinion,i'd keep the light at ruthly 1 1/2 -2ft away from my plant.also man some people mite not agree man but raise ur ph abit higher, try keep her at 6.5 -6.9.gl dude keep us posted.

What's your ph runoff numbers? I was watering with about the same ph as you, or so I thought, until I checked my runoff.

im watering with tesco ashbeck water think its ph 6.4 .

Progress has definatly been made and new buds have formed since the last time.

My second plant well thats doing sweet F all and is a little runt but im just keeping it there will see what happens.

Here are the pics of the one im desperate to get a smokable yield off:

how far away from harvest would you say this is? i cant realy see how any larger buds are going to form as it must be about 80 days in since seed now?

thx

For a better estimate on harvest, a side view of the buds are ideal, and if you can, with some sort of camera that you can macro-in with.

Looks like she's pulling through, son. Since she's been so stressed, you won't be looking at much yield, but what you will be looking at is an extremely potent smoke (plants produce more trichomes faster when stressed) For harvest opinions look up "Zeus's take on harvesting" it's pinned in the harvest and cure section. Does your soil have a place to drain out the bottom of whatever container its in?

nope its a bed with no drainage unfortunatly im aware its not ideal. Ive just given the camera back to my mate so i cant do any macros :(

1 or 2 of the pics is of the side its just that the picture aint rotated but its not a macro pic.

its a shame it wont yield much cos i cant grow for a while due to the estate agents doing viewings etc dont wanna take any more risks but least ill do a better job next time i get round to it.

Least your to the stage now that if it doesn't make it, at least it will still get you stoned :bigjoint:

I'd keep her, just looks stressed.. let it have a week to heal and then I bet it will just finish a few weeks late. Go easy on everything for a bit. Treat her like an ICU patient.
