Is it Flowering?!?!

It's about 12 inches tall, been grown outside here in Hawaii so about 10-11 hours of dark and the rest light since planting the seeds....

Is it flowering? Looks like it to me... also, any idea when I'll be able to tell the sex?

Thanks in advance for your input!

**Edited to add: It's about 5 weeks old from the time the seed sprouted... if that helps... :)

Doesnt look like its in flowering mode yet. Most plants "unless auto-flower variety" must have 12 hours darkness. We may be able to tell sex but you need to get a better pic of like the 3rd node down.

Maybe these will help.... Also, since there will never be 12 hours dark, 12 hours daylight outside here, does this mean I need to put them in a closet or something for the extra hours it shouldn't be getting sunlight? For example, since it gtes dark at 7pm, should I put the plant away at about 5:30pm then bring it back out at dark to ensure 12 hours of darkness? Thanks!

*Edited to say: Today wasn't the best morning to take the pics, it rained a lot last night and the sun hasn't come up enough for the plant to "spring" into shape! lol (It is usually much starighter up and down, and looks fuller too... )

Hawaii has a long growing season so the thing will likely be a tree before it starts to flower. Very pretty plant though thanks for the pics!! Oh BTW can I come visit? I always wanted to surf Hawaii . . .

you either have to wait or cover it every night with a garbage bag or something to make the dark period longer, once I had a plant about that big and I left the bag on it for like 3 days, took it off and it started flowering, but if you have the space and nobody will see it just let it grow and top it like crazy and pin it down ya know? good luck

I'll have hubby take pics tomorrow, he's better at it. So, I don't have a lot of room without nosey neighbors being able to find them unfortunately... not until next year. Anyway, covering them with a bag for the extra time needed to hit 12 hours of dark should work, huh?

I think I might try that!

Oh, and sure! Come visit :P
