Is it normal to have as many pistils as this?

As the title describes I would like to know if my one plant is normal? I have 2 plants about the same age, both are from bagseed, both are in week 6 of flower but the smaller plant is closer to harvest and is full of beautiful trichomes whilst the bigger one is just shooting hairs everywhere, I'll post pictures of both15208474278041814146128.jpg 15208473518671663031045.jpg 1520847514621406925911.jpg

Whatchya got for a light
I built a pretty cheap 150w COB LED light for about 30$ made up of 3x50w chips, it's not the most powerful setup but I wanted to go for the best bang for buck approach rather than paying a premium for electricity and ending up with more weed than I know what to do with XD

One can never have enough weed to know what to do with hehehe.... Cakes, Hash and much more... mmmmmm :P mind to link the parts for it? just out of curiosity :)

Lol it's 3months to grow not enough weed, then at least another three months again befor you get more.

Trust me grow a little extra it's long process to end up with substandard ganja

Yeah I initially started the project as an experiment so I'm already pretty happy with how it's going so far I'll maybe buy a few more LED's when I have the money for the power bills but for now I'll just introduce a new plant into the tent once a month

This isn't exactly the same as mine but they look like they are all just rebranded anyways, these have the driver built in so they are definitely the best bang for buck but you will need to attach a heatsink and fan of sorts, I had a whole bunch of spare cpu heatsinks that I used with a really old fan controller, but you can get those for quite cheap on Amazon aswell.

I tried to budget grow my way.... now I run 2x1000w HPS, plus CMH in flower, and 2x 600w MH in veg. (and switching over to full cmh over the next year or so)

Can't have too much weed... I got a closed column extractor if it starts piling up...

I like where the COBs are going but... I grow trees, and I need light penetration.... LEDs just cant do it yet...

That looks like such a shit item...

I know nothing of LEDs, but... the whole built in driver thing makes me immediately untrusting.... the pics are like a mini infomercial, but full of spelling mistakes....

Theres a whole sub forum for LEDs, trust those guys' judgement on which LEDs to buy... they already made the mistakes...

Thats what forums like this are for! :)

Yeah it seemed pretty dodgy to me too but it's actually not too bad, I did a bunch of tests and it's power draw is very low, and just 1 chip overpowers my 80w cfl by miles and only thing I noticed with the built in driver is that it doesn't have any capacitors to smooth out the DC output going to the cob so the light flickers at 60Hz or 50Hz depending on the frequency of your power where you live and I assume it gets hotter than the cob by itself, I wouldn't know since I haven't tried a cob with external driver, but overall it's better than I expected and the more you add the better the light, the spelling mistakes in ads are usually because it's a Chinese seller that didn't want to spend money on getting a proper translation but everything is made in China nowadays anyway XD so if anyone wants to experiment with it like I did I could highly recommend it but your mileage may vary, I have seen some sellers will send you a new one if you received a dud without you needing to send the dud back, but I haven't seen many people try these chips, so I decided to test it out myself and they improved the side branching of my plants by alot but it was way too late in the plants life cycle because I only got the light when I started flowering XD

It's looking good to me! Like the others have said, new pistil growth is bud growth and it's a good sign as she's still packing on the weight!

Though at the end of the grow if you're still seeing new pistils at the tops then the buds are probably foxtailing, which is not a bad thing, it will just produce a different quality bud

Can you show pics of your lights and the distance from your plants? I am running with similar budget COBs, though not driverless.
Your COB grow is looking very nice.

I keep the bare COBs very very close because of losses, damned inverse square law. The lensed COB is much better for penetration in terms of diminishing losses for distance, but it significantly decreases the usable footprint.

Here's my setup if you're curious:
