the simple answer is don't prune. it is of little benefit and possibly great harm. the only good reason to prune is to shape the plant, typically to keep it from getting too big.
Ok man, hmm. Maybe I'm mixing up words here, topping and pruning, are they the same word? I would like to get more than one top on the plants. Does your reply still apply or was it me with my poor english skills?
