Hi,
I have a bunch of 3 week old seedlings in 8oz cups that were brought up in a Scott's product with 4 month fertilizing capabilities - similar to MG.
They look great for the most part and are ready for transfer.
The problem that I have run into is that I gave a bit of fert(20-20-20) to a few of them and experienced leaf burn, stunted growth, etc. I want to be able to nurish them along and don't see myself being able to do that with Scott's unless I wait until the nutes in there wear off in a few months. Also, I want to be able to flush them a couple of weeks before harvest and can't see that being possible with the Scott's product.
Is it ok to take my seedlings that are in Scott's non organic and plant them in Fox Farm Ocean using organic boost/bloom going forward? Does anyone see any issue given it's only 8 oz of Scotts? I am thinking 3 gallon pots with the Fox Farm.
I may just try bringing half up of them in the Scott's using just water and let the 4 month release do it's thing and some up in the Fox Farm using their nutrients, but am hoping for some guidance from you folks for what might be best.
I have heard of decent results with straight Scott's, but am hesitant on this next step...
Thanks in advance.
