Is it too early to put under HPS

My plants are a little over a week old, and are under 80watts of floros, When should I put them under the 400 HPS? Will they grow better under the HPS? Thanks for any advice

Spend $20 on a MH bulb and use that in the hps ballast for veg.

I veg after 1 week with hps veg's real nice under hps ,although i have a duel spectrum bulb.

It will veg ok with hps, but mh would reduce streach.

Is that the clear Metal Halide bulb that they sell at home depot? Does it get hotter then the HPS? Thanks
