Is it wrong for a Christian to Smoke Weed.

I did not back read, so if someone else posted this I am sorry. But,

Genesis 1:27: "I give unto you all the seed bearing herbs for your consumption."

Since man has written a book declaring all things are his....

Now that is convenient isn't it?

There is only one "sin" that cannot be forgiven.... and that is not believing. Gee, what are the odds that that is the worst one.... Almost as if an ulterior motive was in play.

Why even pay attention to a book ... if you can't truly follow it.

The Bible only works if you "pick & choose".

Adherence is impossible.

it was god who helped me see atheism was the true faith. it was reason however, which led me to a wobbly tricycle called agnosticism.

for any youngsters who may be reading this, don't be frightened by the sound of the word "agnosticism". you know when you meet those really cool people who make you feel really special? without trying to touch your genitals? well, you've probably just come into contact with an agnostic.

Just stay away from the "cult" religions...... Christianity and Islam.... the rest aren't so bad. They aren't seeking world domination.

I don't believe faith should have anything to do with smoking weed. It is only socially frowned upon because of the govt. They even speak of it in the bible " bring me the fine herbs"..lol..They were prolly stoned when they wrote the bible, cuz there is some wild stuff in there.

yes, they also killed babies...... they were on something..... and it wasn't the word of any mystical space being. Just self serving themselves.

Well if it helps, I am 43 years old now. I have been using canabbis since I was 16.

Compared to people my own age, I far more youthful, spiritual, physically healthier than they (most of dem have beer bellies and really unfit and bad attitudes about greed and stuff). I read and study the Bible everyday and am deeply committed to my Christian Faith. I still love doing the music and am a kind and gentle person who loves my brother and sister very much and never want to hurt them. That is what being Christian is really about.

I smoke like Bob Marley, believe me!

I think we have to be careful with very strong bud, as it can cause psychosis (usually not lasting very long). But I think a lot of this psychosis is inate, because we have unresolved issues in our psyche (soul). When I am on the ball with my Christian Faith I never get any paranoia (conscience attack).

For us who find ourselves on the margins of society because we are different, you know life is hard. Smoking the weed keeps me sane and is a bit of an emotional painkiller for me.

I sure hope this does not bar me from the Good LORD's Kingdom, through His Son Jesus Christ who came in the flesh! (just to show you that I am the real deal). If the LORD had told me "Thou shalt not smoke ganja" then I would not do it, but He has not ever informed me that way.

Even our Saviour liked a glass of wine, so we read!!! And He is God's Son!!!

Also, I know (being half jewish) that canabbis was used in the oil with which the Old Testament Kings and Prophets were annointed!!! Yes, it is an ingredient mentioned in the Talmud for the annointing oil in the Priestly Tradition. That would mean that the ceremonial tools for the Tabernacle would have been annointed this way, too. Check it out on wickipaedia. Can't remember the link off hand, but I have read it in many places.

hey kid listen if you really believe in god then you should know that he didn't write the bible he gave the 10 commandants and thats it the catholic church is corrupt by humanity and all of humanity defects (greed and power)
do you all know that the catholic church renounced purgatory??? who gave them the right..

anyway kid just do what you think is right in life and help those who need help when you can. that and be understanding and you will not only please your god but all of them as well as the people around you

Christians have justified drinking wine throughout the ages and alcohol is no doubt much more harmful to you! Unlike alcohol, I think that an argument can be made that smoking weed actually contributes to society by reducing the amount of violence in it. However, about 10% of those who start smoking weed do develop an addiction to it. It begins to cause problems in their life and though they want to, they just can't seem to stop smoking weed.
