Is it zinc or mag def?

way better.....looks like a zinc issue, but zinc issues are rare.
What do they eat? what soil are they in? are they flowering?

She's veggin away for now, just showed sex a couple days ago actually. Tryin to keep her as a mother cuz this knd of stuff just doesnt come around and i really doubt we'll ever see it again. Anyway, soil is just scotts premium with very little as far as nutes go, about a 60/40 mix of soil/perlite, with a tablespoon of dolomite lime in there too. I just started feeding 2weeks ago, 1/2 strength fox farm nutes with cal-mag. Other than that, Ive foliar fed twice with dr. earth's 3-3-3 organic solution which has small amounts of magnesium(0.5%) and zinc(0.1%). I've been mixing the foliar spray extra dilluted, 1/4strength of reccommeded.

It'll be time to water her tomorrow or the next day, I guess I'll check the ph again, maybe it crept up on me? From what I understand, zinc def. are usually caused by ph being too high. In which case, I would want to lower the ph rather than feed it to 'unlock' the micro nutes correct? The pieces of the puzzle seem to be falling into place, but i'm just not quite certain i'm on the right track. On previous grows, my ph has always gone lower not higher, which would explain why i've yet to encounter this on my plants before. maybe too much lime in the mix? Any input would be much appereciated!

The Scotts soil has very little npk value which is good for small vegging plants that do not need alot of food yet. Now that she is bigger she does need a veg formula to stay in a vegging mother mode. Dolomite lime is a ph buffer, so the soil will generally not go above a ph of 7.0. You could mix a bit more int the top few inches of your soil. If your Fox Farm nutes have an npk ratio similar to 3-1-2, then you have the correct ratio.

Instead of just watering her, give her a good flush with the dolomite lime mixed into the top few inches of your soil. Wait a few days for the soil to dry again and feed her your veg formula at 1/2 strength. Hopefully this helps you out.

Nice, thats pretty much what i figured. I gotta get me some more water, and get a good runoff reading tonight and I'll go from there. I'm beginning to understand the sometimes subtle differences in growing different strains. I've found the northern lights to be the easiest to grow thus far, but this new one's a picky gal, have to keep an eye on her:blsmoke:

Just thought i'd pop-in and report a little. Its been 2 days since i flushed with some good ole' 6.5ph oxegenated water and although it's not quite bursting with lush green growth just yet, she seems to be back on track:hump:.

Good to hear. It can take a few more days to see the issue reverse, but once it gets back she'll take off. Hey thanks for the +rep.:peace:

In case your still watching this thread I might add my 2 cents. I am suffering from the same problems. I have a hydroponic drip system. My PH has been running low 5's and sometime upper 4's. One girl my largest one is the most affected. It started right before I put them into 12/12. I figured with the flora nova bloom it would get rid of the def. Not so, it is better but still there. One plant is showing no signs but 3 others are. So I don't think the PH being high or low has that much to do with it. Mine are starting to get better and hope this doesn't affect the final outcome.

you pH is way to low. In veg you want it around 6.2 it frees up the nitrogen. Flower at 5.8. spray leaves with a good 3-0-0, 1/4 strength. two days it should look better

Ph is always of the utmost importance! That is why we ph everything that goes into our plants, if ur too high or too low, ur gonna lock up different nutrients. In my case, the soil tested over 8, which is high enough to lock out a mutitude of nutrients.
