i have a large soup can and was wondering if its ok to use as a pot? besides the fact that it needs holes on the bottom. just wasnt sure if there was something that the metal would do to the plant?

It cost about 2.00 for a small plastic pot with holes in it and a tray at home depot or any place really that sells garden supplies....why dont you just go with that?

Metal does rust when introduced to water, i wouldnt recommend it. Borrow the $2 from a friend and tell him you'll pay him back with some bud when your done growing it.

this was an un nessary comment,.. i think he meant your own garbage,.. dont you drink sodas? plastic milk cartons? ever go to 7-11,.. get slurpees or big gulps , these are all great containers

cambells soup and spagetti sauce cans have a plastic coating inside them,.. they would work for starting seeds and small plants, i would not grow till flower in them,.. plus the rim around the can will make it hard to get the plants out when transplanting,...
