Is my plant a male or female?

Hey guys, first post.
Just wondering if someone could determine the sex of my plant.
Got some pics attached.
I've circled what I think might be one sign of it being a female.
Its been on 12/12 for about a week now.
Can't really remember how old it is because when I decided to grow it, it was just for fun, I was seeing if it was going to do anything because I heard how hard it is to grow a plant.
All my mates had failed to grow a plant even to a seedling.
So I gave it a shot and it worked on my first try.
So yes, I am very new to this, although I'm not new to the smoking side of things.

PS: Would it be possible to tell if it is indica or sativa?

Well, better pics are needed. It seems a bit early also. When you see white hairs coming out of the areas you circled, they are female. If you see 2 sacks in those areas, they are male.
As for indica or sativa. to me it looks more like an indica. Indica are short fat leaves, sativa longer/thinner leaves.
As for more pics, wait a week and take more.....and get them clear, it helps us help you.
Lets hope its a girl, I'm waiting for mine to sex also....2 weeks Tuesday in 12/12. Indica too!!

it depends on what type of high u want. couchlock or etheral(head-high) also you can "make" your high be what you want it to be, depends on when you harvest. look into the types and do some research on you trichs. rep me if this helps

Just depends on what type of high you prefer...

Sativa is a true "high". light headed high feeling, more aware, not slow..

Indica is more of a lethargic stoned high. The type where you will feel lazy and just chill on the couch. Your mind will be slowed, as well as slowed reaction time.

I prefer sativa, but they are harder to come by, but well worth it in my opinion...

Cant tell from the pic but id say its too early anyway. I leave the lights off for 48 hours when I change from 18/6 to 12/12 and most are showing sex when the lights come back on. Tip for your next grow.

Theres different types of highs and strains of marijuana that produce them, so grow the strain that produces the high of your choice.

If you wanna get a strong head high grow a sativa dominant strain
If your more into the bodybuzz lazy stoney high grow an indica dominant strain
Looking for the middle of the road, the grow a cross between the two

Could this be signs of a female?
or do both sex's have as pungent smell as eachother?

No its not a sign of a female plant but it is a sign of a marijuana plant. not even the best grower in the world will be able to tell you what the sex is from veg cycle. I really higly suggest you look at the GROW FAQ'S on this site. I also suggest you read read and read. buy a book. do you know its alot faster looking for your questions typing in the search???? rather than to post a question and wait til who knows when? The search button is right beside the grow faqs button. Please look and use common sense

Hey man, thanks for the advice.
I just posted my question up there because I find it easier to understand things from other people rather than reading from a site because they mainly use words that I'm unfamiliar with, and... well... Yes I did do some research on my problem, and... its helped me a little, but not as much as some of the people on these forums.
