I have one seedling under 25-watt florescent and it is about 3 inches tall without any real leaves.. Is my seedling strechin to the light and if it is what should i do? and how far away from the seedling should the light be?

3 inches with no real leaves? That sounds like stretching to me! Listen, get an extra 25 watt and bring the plant within ONE-TWO INCH of the cfls - no further. The fluorescents, as you know, put off hardly any heat. so simply place a small fan nearby and that should fix your problem temporarily. Also, do what THEGROWER advised.

What I did was buy 4 Y-connectors and 8 26watt cfls and made a V frame out of cardboard. 6 seedlings grew 7 inches in 2.5 weeks. super bushy plants. extremely cheap setup. I swear, 6-7 inch plants and they looked like miniature trees lol. Dude, you can do wonders with cfls...at least in veg state. good luck!!

oh yes that is definitely stretching for light, get the light closer and bury it like the previous posts told you...
