Is my stalk rotting?

The answer is, duh. I would start spraying with peroxide. But, I'm not sure if you are going to be able to save it. It's pretty far along.

I think you need restart. What are your water temps? How big of a pump? Youre gana want to start over and give everything a light bleaching and wash off but nothing will change if you don't figure out the environmental problems.

My res got really warm and I had to work over for two days so it had probably 75-80 degree water for the two days. I have a third one that's doing awesome. I didn't mention that all three are just some reg bag seed. This is just a trial run so I can get everything right before I do some high grade.
But anyway do you think the high res temps are the culprit?
Or maybe it's the aero garden grow sponge?
What all else could cause this?
Here's a pic of the whole thing. The one in the middle that you can barely see is only a week old the one on right and left are 3 weeks old. The one on left is doing sweet with a huge stalk. The one on right has a big stalk above the defect and one in middle is same size all over. I'm thinking the one on left is going to end up a male with its speedy growth. I'm hoping it's just good genes. Mix up of bag seeds. Also forgot to mention I'm using flora nova. image.jpg

Yeah I think the warm temps are contributing; I've had the same problem in early DWC attempts. You can rotate out freezer packs everyday or so if you need to. You also need to bring helpful enzymes into your grow for an extra level of protection. You can get something pricey like Hygrozyme or you can go the cheap route like me and get Pondzyme from Walmart. The pondzyme is crazy concentrated to you will likely only need a few drops per container.

It might be worth trying to save them; they are much bigger than I initially thought. I'm also no expert with the Aero Gardens.

Root rot and damping off are both terms you should research before your next run. You'll get her dialed in by then but not much hope for these.

Definitely damping off. Your medium is holding too much water. You can treat it with coriander oil and prop it with a bamboo steak. If you're really lucky it will survive.

I went ahead and pulled the two with the problems. In able to keep my water temps cool now. I guess the bigger ones stalk is too big to be taken over by overly wet medium. I'm going to just grow it out and switch mediums next run. The roots were fine on all of them just the two stalks. I live nowhere near any hydro shops. Could I possible start my plants in jiffy pellets and then set them in net pots with a non wicking medium?
Like I said I'm new to hydro just looking for a little help.

I'm not using an aero garden just the seed pods. But apparently they are junk for what I'm using them for. I will look for that pondzyme next time I'm at walmart. I'm a broke ass lol definitely go the cheaper route. I hope the one I have left ends up female. I would hate to have to completely restart again. I'm thinking of switching it to flower soon.

I couldn't find pondzyme. I found startzyme. Do you know anything about it?

After I finish this run. I'm going to start my seeds in jiffy pellets and put them in net pots with fish gravel. Read about it and seemed like it would be fine for bubbleponic. Any opinions?
