Centrifugal and most other fans usually do better pulling past a restriction than pushing through it. Machines designed to push air past a restriction are usually classified as compressors.

That said, good centrifugal fans in a low-restriction system can be mounted as intake or exhaust with similar flow rates.

It can make a noticeable difference, especially with a carbon filter. It's situational.

Personally I prefer PULLING .....through char can, then cooltube..then out.......make sure your socket is on the "in" side of air flow to reduce temps of socket.....

im gonna be pushing for a pretty short length, probably about 6-7 ft and only 1 bend in it. u guys think thats short enough to push the air rather than pull it? im using a 6'' 452 cfm vortex in a 4x4 tent.

i push my air with a table fan, and the exhaust ducting is about 4 feet, and it works just fine for me. you have a way nicer fan. you should be fine.

Yes. The system you are describing should operate at very close to maximum efficiency with the fan pressing intake air. That is unless there end up being more restrictions than you mentioned. Most hard ducts flow better than most soft ducts so use solid tubes whenever possible.

I use a bathroom vent fan and push no filter but works well enough room stays in the mid 70's without, it ran in the high 80's
