Is There Any Way to Make a Seed/Plant More Likely Female?

I think there's some ways to distinguish female seeds from male seeds, i don't know tho. Other then that you can always buy feminized seeds from a seedbank.

Don't think that would work, Cause i'm pretty sure the gender is chosen at seed.

evidence shows you can influence gender to a limited extent. that's from some studies cited by Mel Frank and Ed Rosenthall among others (just put that in there because some peeps are gonna call Bull Shit LOL). i remember two things that favored females were adequate root space and a SLIGHTLY high N in relation to P and K during seeding stage. i seem to recall lower temps early in seeding stage as well.

as for femmed seeds  am in the process of running 4 "female" plants...two of which turned out to be full blown males! I decided to use them as a shortcut because i shit-canned one of my "go to" cuts and i needed to fill some slots fast. so now i have a bunch of unlabeled clones from those 4 "females" rooting as well. I'm not saying all feminized seeds are shit, but i will say i'll NEVER assume that they are female and in all honesty probably not use them again. Lesson learned.

maybe it does maybe it dosent but youll never know unless you try it cant do any harm
Well, letting things rot in soil could be harmful.

If the OP is talking about regular seeds -- the sex of a plant is determined in the 3rd or 4th week of vegetation. Dutch Passion (of all people) did a study on what sort of environmental factors could influence a plant to become to male or female and they came up with 5 items that could impact the sex of a plant.

1. N and K availability.
2. Humidity
3. Temperature
4. Color of light
5. Hours of light per day.

Some people take issue with their study and say that it contradicts their personal experience. So who knows if the conclusions of the study are accurate, I'd like to see other independent studies on the same issue before drawing a definitive conclusion. In any case, below is link to a write up on that study
