Is this a good blueprint or fail?

i drain it using the pump(see pics in my thread, my 3 stages of flower) and then i fill it using a water line i spliced in to water heater feed.

Yea but if not using ro water then dont i gota leave the res out for a day?
seems like a hassle filling 40gallons of water and having to leave it out for a day when i would need to change 160 gallons every 2 weeks

No. Not in hydroponics. Only need to set tap out for organics.

Amazing man. So if i go dwc mothers to 8x8 2000w tent sog style 8 net pots in each tote.
So 16 10 gallon totes dwc style 8 net pots in each tote in the 2k Hps tent harvesting 4 totes at a time 8 pots at a time would yield 16oz every 2 weeks??!

there is no concern for me on using straight tap water. i run 200-260gal of res's at all times and never let it sit.

But like as doniawon said if i got 2kw and made 8 net pot totes, made 16 of them could i get a p every 2 weeks sog style? Lucas formula only. Well maybe at first till i understand how nutrients work a bit more but forsure lucas formula for the first few harvests

Skip the 600s and get 2 1ks
So you're saying that with less lumens you'd get more yield.. How exactly does that work?

95000x4 = 380000 [2400 watts]
155000x2 = 310000 [2000 watts]

An extra 70,000 lumens for only 400 watts, why would anyone go with the 1000s? You can even mix in an enhanced spectrum metal halide or two with 600s and not effect total lumens much at all.

Plus four lights distribute the light much more evenly.

So.. why on earth would you change 4 600s for 2 1000s?

I did check out ur thread and it looks like ur doing more advanced thing then just dwc. Which is pro but im not there yet.
thats y i wana do dwc and learn from there i only have exp with organic. I dont want to jump into something major without knowing how to do it right here thats y i ask a lot of qs lol and thnx to all at riu.

Thats y i need to know if my 2k w hps 8x8 flower will do 14g per net pot. I figure if i make 9 net pots for each tote and harvest 36 net pots a harvest that should be 504g

i just read recently al b pulls avg of 18os a harvest with flood and drains & no veg time

al b uses 2 1k W too. I orginally had it to 2k when i started this blue print but after some reading i learned about hempys and 600ws are better for them.

but im curious too, how more yield for less light

Stick with the 600s and I don't see why not. At 1 gpw thats 2400grams, or 5.357 lbs. You need a lb every week, so with 8 week flowering strains you need 0.75 gpw. There's no reason you should pull less than 0.5 gpw if you're putting even minimal effort into your op. 0.75 gpw isn't that lofty a target for a first time grow, either.
