Is this a sign of flowering? Help!

White hairs started to grow off one of my strawberry coughs. Ive been told this is a sign thats its a female, but i've also been told its a sign of pre flowering. I have an auto that has white hair all over it, but i figured that cause it flowers by itself. The reason I want to know is because if my strawberry coughs ready to flower I need to change the light. Its not a very big plant, so it is possible to push off the flowering, to get it a little bigger in veg? Or can I go into flowering when it's small.

If anyone has any insight on any of this could you please weigh in, and clarify. Any and all feedback helps!

Heres a pic of the hairs growing off of it, also if you want to see pics of the plant to get an idea, check out this forum, has the most recent pics … https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/809374-first-top-how-did-i.html

Your plant is not showing signs of flowers, not until you switch to 12/12 for at least 2 maybe 3 weeks, I'd say your plant is too young to start flowers yet, at least not with an 18 or 24 hr cycle.

I see no signs of preflowers in that pic.

Plants will preflower in veg once old enough/sexually mature, but won't begin to bloom until put into 12/12 so once showing preflowers it's your choice...continue vegging or switch to flower.

Once autos show preflowers they will bloom regardless.

It's preflower... It's the first sign of the sex and yes you can flip her. Depending on the size of your grow room though, you probably want to let her go for a while. Basically, you want to flip your plant(s) when they fill half of the available grow space to maximize your potential yield and the longer they mature, the better weed your going to grow.

The plant can't show sex if it's not showing preflowers....this is what a female preflower looks like...

See the two white pistils emerging from the calyx...that's a female preflower.

Get a better pic under good lighting.Hold your camera/camera phone as steady as possible anf use just a little zoom holding the camera/camera phone as close as possible to the area you are taking a pic of without getting too grainy or blurred of a shot.

So. . . Because of the size of the plant and it has asymmetrical nodes I know it is a clone. Now whatever age the mother that the clone came from was, thats how old the clone is once rooted. So if u were days from the preflowers/sex on mama then in a few days your clones too will show sex. Plant wil grow like half sometimes two thirds its size during first two to three weeks of flower. The stretch.
