Is this a stupid idea?

Hello guys thank you for checking in on me.

My first round of seeds from a seed bank are about a day into germ. I think I have a solid plan to provide for my investment, but I can't help having some second thoughts, due to my overwhelming ignorance lol.

I have ten lowryder #1 seeds in total, and 5 are germinating. I know this strain isn't the best, but it's close to the fastest, and I need practice caring for plants in flower.

I'll be putting half in 1 gallon and the other in 2 gallon out of curiosity.

But I'm considering starting the seed in a tiny jiffy pot (with seed starter soil), that has been pre-planted into my bigger pots. (Full of big-boy soil)

**My question is, will the tiny jiffy pot act as a "cup" and encourage a nice rootball, before biodegrading and allowing the roots to push through? Or would you think it would hinder or cause problems for the roots in any way?**

I've attached a drawing. Thank you so much for your time guys.

I've always used those red solo cups, but have started in peat pots as well. there is discussion in threads about Jiffy pots hindering growth, but I never did any side by side comparisons.

I would poke holes/weaken the pot to make it easier to breakdown and the roots to get out. I usually use those expanding peat pucks with the thin net on them. I cut the net before planting up.
Also Solo cup makes shot cup sized cups. Perfect for seed starting, easy to remove...and you can melt holes in them to make hydroponic cups. They are brittle so you need to melt them.
