Is this light good?

Hello.
I have been growing with my 125w cfl and recently i have benn looking into buying a hps.
I found these today and look like a great deal if they are the right kind.
A few questions...
Are they the right type for growing?
Do the ones with an internal ingnitor need a ballast?
can they just screw into a standard E40 fitting?
What ones are best the elliptical ones or the tubular ones???

youll need a ballast, a socket, cord, reflector...Just buy your light kit complete so you dont need to fuck around with building anything.

I've got a question. I just went to 12/12. I will be out of town in 3 wks and will have to switch to 18/8 (don't ask.) I'll be gone a week. can I switch back to 12/12 when I come home? Thanks.

I'd switch back to 18/6 if you just started 12/12.
