Greetings

This is my first attempt at growing. After two weeks this is what my plant looks like.

For the past 2 days it looks like it's "closing" is this normal?
What should I do? Am I past the point on no return?

Thank you for your time

im pretty sure thats how my plant started out, took a while too but it was all naturally grown, literally just dirt and water. just give it time i would say. and dont over fuss the plant or water it too much

I Just made a article that should help ya out with that, enjoy -------------------420
Constructing a 100% CFL Grow

also warm or soft-white cfls will NEVER cause streching aslong as u have adequate lighting. Streching only occurs when the plant dont recieve proper levels of light, in short, it forces itself to grow a longer stem to reach the light. If you look at my gallery, all my plants are grown with "warm" 26w cfls' not 1 bit of streching, actually there more bushy then most plants ive attempted to grow, best of luck

Many new growers (and this is the Newbie section) are not providing adequate lighting. Many times, because of lack of funds they are starting with a few bulbs, sometimes only one! I have, in the past started out with minimal "warm" cfls and my plants did stretch like hell. I switched to "daylight" cfls and the stretching stopped, and without adding additional lighting. I think there is a large enough a segment of new growers that do start out like that and/or that is a common enough occurence(again, among newer growers) to merit my previous advice.

If thats at two weeks, I would start over. Mine have atleast 8 leaves by now, and the lack of stretching there looks horrible. :(

:blsmoke:is this comment directed towards me and my plants? and "the lack of streching' never knew there was such a thing. From my research, streching is NOT a desired trait. A bushy plant tends to produce less visible bud but thats due to the denseness of the bud. You can have a 5 inch "loose"bud and a 3 inch "dense bud". the dense buds will almost always weight up more. Again I think that falls back to the grower. What do people really want a tall streched plant with tons of bud sites or a bushy plant with less sites but better buds? I guess thats the growers choice..its not really about the cosmetics, its all about what plant will treat you best when its in your system :blsmoke:
