is the seed growing the wrong way or pushing itself out or something? Just thought it looked a bit odd so id ask. Also when should I start giving light

Could be that its too bright or too hot for the young little guy, my guess is the lights too close or too bright, raise or put some shade over her for a day or so, better still get a flouro tube for the first week. Should be this but ive been wrong plenty before, seedling turns away from somthing means it no likey. Peace

No it was doing this before the light, matter of fact I turned on the light because of this, and the light is like 4 feet away from it in a cooltube giving off little to no heat, ambient temps are 73 degrees

nah I'm pretty sure its still just coming up, its the same bend I see in the few pot plants I've grown, I usually have them under lights when they're still in the rockwool, so when they come up they don't stretch like hell. I had two tomato plants that I was growing, forgot completely about them because it took like 2 weeks to germ them, when I caught them they were about 2 inches stretched.

Yeah I had 2 others germing in the same tent (theyre a little behind the one in this thread and havnt made it out of the rockwool yet) so i took them out and put them in the closet so I could turn on the light for this plant, would it be alright to put them back then? I was just going by everyone saying light is bad for them as seedlings lol

A strong light is bad for seedlings, even my seedling turn away from a t5 if too close but once they get there first true leaves out there normally good. They recover quick also and if it was the light a few hours in the dark will soon straighten it out and let you know to raise the lights some or if it was somthing else.

Freakin tomato seeds take forever to germinate, you think they have died before they sprout, damn last one i did couldnt get its leaves out of the seed casing so now i got two more weeks to wait for another to germinate, really wish tom seeds were faster sprouting. Peace

well it was wilting before i turned the light on so if this doesnt straighten it out i know its not the lighting atleast.

when I had a 400 watt system I had the light a good 2 or 3 feet up when they were seedlings

That's what I have a 400 watt in a cool tube and its about 3 feet above it right now so maybe ill put back in the other seeds. I'd prefer them to have light as soon as they poke there heads out.

What else, can you overwater in that medium or did you pH it right/prepare it right befor planting? Possibly heat and no air circulation maybe Peace

Drip system above it goes off 4 times a day for 15 minutes, the drops dont directly hit the rockwool they just keep the hydroton around it moist, I did adjust the PH, Temps are always in the 70 range, Theres open vents on the side of the tent for ventilation.

I never done hydro but arent the cubes meant to get one soaking a day in rockwool, i did read al-b-fucts threads and recomend you reading most of his long hydro ones as they contain all the info a grower could need packed into about 170pages!lol! Peace

I soaked the rockwool first, as far as I know I've done everything right so far :P. The plant actually seems to be responding well to the light so far, its straightened up a bit still hope to see it improve though
