I would assume that its a simple lightbulb socket, like you find in a desk lamp....not quite sure ebcause thats what I used, but I make a lot of my own stuff(lighting enclosures for CFL's using old lamps etc...) Reckon you could find it at a hardware shop.

Oh and to make it more efficient, invest in some mylar (or i think thats what its called...the reflective materila u cna line the walls with...DO NOT use tin foil, I made that mistake....Thank god the good folks on this site helped me out before i killed my plants or anything).

^^^^ good advice, keep the lights as close as possible without burning the tips (i did that accidentally once but it bounced back but stunted a bit so dont risk it)....

Also, mylar CAN be expensive, but since u used the Pound sign, I assume you are English and hence, i don't know how much mylar goes for in the UK. As for ti being 100% light reflective, that is ideal, its what you want. The white stuff is good too, because obviously white relfects the most light out of any shade/colour, so its awesome. I dont have any lining because a) my walls are white as my skin (i dont tan much hahah) and b) its a large closet so i would need a lot in my application.

A cheap way to find mylar is at an automotive store such as a Auto Zone, they have windshield covers that are mylar, not to pricy either.

dont even worry about mylar, just bust out a cheap can of flat white spray paint, and paint the inside of your box.

or you could use emergency blankets from wal-mart that are like 1 dollar if not 2 . I found out about it on this site , go to the camping area and you find them. it is mylar material and very reflective

here's my setup
