Yea, it doesn't really look like a marijuana plant. But, yes. The picture is too low of quality and too far away to tell.

Tell your "friend" he needs to take a much much better picture. Preferably use a real camera and not some shitty camera phone in a dark room.

Lol thats not even a dark room looks like the plants are sitting in the cup holder in the back seat of a mazda. But yeah definitely not a good enough pic to tell and is it even flowering yet?? looks very small to be out of veg...

My advice is to shred those and start over with some kind of idea of what it is you are supposed to be doing.
