Is this too much electricity for one person?

I am worried ill get caught mainly because of my electrical usage. the fact that i live in an apartment is my main reasoning, i would otherwise not care. Ill have a 600 watt hps running 12 hours a day, 200 watts of fluoros running 18 hours, and everything else like fans, and ballasts. By the way that arouses another question: do ballasts use electricity?

anyways: should i be concerned? i mean its not like i have many electronics in my apartment to justify such usage. my concern is that my landlord will pick up on this. Coupled with the fact that im hardly ever gonna be there (home.)

how does the landlord know what electronics you have,i have a heat vibrateing massager for my back that almost uses 1500 watts.

dude, my big ass desktop computer uses nearly half of that. you have nothing to worry about (when it comes to electricity).

under 1k aint shit.....but under no reason should you tamper with your elec box..thats a sure fire way to redflag for leo an fires....imo.....peace az

easy im from richmond,ca i nkow this!!!
what u do is drill a small hole in the bottom and take out like half the magnetic shit and that will slow it down alot.

Yeah but your messing with the meter. Thats would stick out to anybody from the electric company. This is very risky to try just to save some money when he's running less then 1k. Stealing power is what will get him caught if anything.


I do have one question. Is power included in your rent or do you have your own meter? Do you get a bill just for electric every month? If so just pay it every month and don't worry about it. If it's included in your rent you might wanna be carfull sence you don't know if you got a landlord who's looking at the bill each month going what the hell does he have running up there. I know when I was younger my parents used to rent an apartment out above there house. The utilities where included in the rent and my Dad used to watch the usage like a hawk.
