Is this True? In Colorado, all grows must be inside?

I'm confused. I read a post where someone stated this. I'm searching Colorado law for growing guidelines and I can't find where it says I must grow inside. I would appreciate some help on this since I've got 3 beautiful virgins outside maturing and I live in a town that doesn't allow dispensaries.

There is nothing in the state law that bans outside grows, but I think some local (city/county) laws might ban it. If your town has banned dispensaries, they could be the type of place to ban outside growing as well...

Oh, should have thought of that. I just researched my little city law's on MJ and found I'm good. Thanks for your reply, it lead me to answer the question.

Whoooo. Also found on my town's web site a form that they would like you to fill out: "Medical Marijuana Use - Voluntary Self-Identification. Won't be doing that.

I can't site where i read this, but i did read that the plants must be out of "public view". I think that is pretty obvious though, if not just to keep the neighbor kids from robbing your greenhouse.

Hey, I recently moved to Colorado and have been worried the same way since I got my card here. You shouldn't grow outside. I also live in a community with no dispensaries. I'm not sure if this is state or county law I am quoting but I read up for my safety and it said something along the lines of "A person with a [red card] can use and grow mj and the state will not recognize any charges, but he/she may not endanger others by doing so" which went on to include other people being able to inhale and even SEE you smoking. So if anyone can see it, it's fair game I think. Keep it out of sight, or take them inside, but it's kinda late to take them inside. So just make sure if you have a fence it doesn't go over. Get a large basil or rosemary out front, maybe grow some other flowers so people just assume its your garden that smells. Just be safe.

I just read where you said you read your city law and your safe. So never mind, I thought I only found stuff about grow ops in my county, but I guess I found that too.

Fort collins is the only city I know of that has a city ordinance about no growing outside specifically.

Odor has even become an issue, how they enforce something like that I dunno, like when they come to your house and the music is too loud they have sound meters so they can tell if you should be written a ticket. How do you measure odor from weed? especially outdoors where the wind shifts. This could be a problem with outdoor grows.

let me go on to say , being a resident of burbs north of denver I catch cow shit odor every now and then blowing down from greeley, are they fined? if not they should be since they are fining grow ops if there is odor.

Do you like being HARRASSED??? I just heard about a guy who was drying bud in his outside shed cause his wife couldnt take the smell. Cops CALLED. SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS UNIT CALLED.

Strange they have beautiful little procedures for INVESTIGATING YOU and your grow. Gotta prove a bunch of stuff on spot, write warnings with dates for re-inspections!!! They left, next day SOCIAL SERVICES got called, fighting to keep his children.

CHEEKY BASTARDS!!!

Carbon filters. Get 'em, use 'em. I have one in my grow room and one in my drying room (closet). Just because it's legal doesn't mean you won't get harassed.

But based on current Colorado law they can and WILL charge you with child abuse if they find the grow and you have kids. This is where stealth is super important.

while I highly disagree with theory/practice, the same holds true if you are naked in your home/backyard and clearly visible to others - you will get an indecent exposure charge.

stupid, yes. but we all know the cops are still a little butt hurt that they can't bust most of us anymore. keep it clean, keep it legal and within limits, keep the f**ers out of yer hair. and if you have kids, consider the stealth grow (old cabinets/dressers, fridges and crawlspaces can be made into GREAT little grow spots, well hidden), do it somewhere else, or get with a buddy and 'share' a better space.

build a fence around your yard or at least the grow area. then plant seeds from short or even dwarf plants. don't grow durban poison like i did because it got to 7'+, taller than the sunflowers and corn grown around it, even the fence. i hung my harvested plants upside down in my garage with sheets on joists to each side so nobody could see it. why would anyone dry it outside where it could be seen? j
