Islamic State Claims Female American Hostage Killed in Jordanian Strike

Islamic State claimed Friday that an American female hostage was killed when a Jordanian airstrike hit the building in Syria where she was being held captive, a monitoring group said.

Islamic State said on Twitter that the hostage was buried under the rubble of a building near Raqqa, Syria, Islamic State's de facto capital, the SITE Intelligence Group reported.

A State Department spokeswoman said the U.S. was investigating the claim but couldn't confirm the reports.

What they are saying is that the state of Jordan killed an American while bombing Syria.

Perfect propaganda to attempt to drive a wedge between Jordan and America.

Ok, that answers the first part of the question.

The second part is whether it is true or not, should it matter? We are in a war and an American prisoner became a victim due to collateral damage. The USA isnt exactly clean of that. So, does it matter in regards to our relation to Jordan? IMO even if the thing was totally true then no, it should not matter because this is war.

On the flip side it is most likely untrue because it would be perfect propaganda if it were true. For any questions see the above paragraph.

No it should not matter or effect our relations with Jordan, We, the USA have killed more of our own with friendly fire than most. It happens and cannot be avoided after committing.

I really hate to say this but, after wasting effort in Iraq and Afghanistan, if there is anytime the US has to put troops in action again, now is the time to kill ISIL Fuck Assad, kill him too

jordan is our ally we give them 1billion dollars a year in aid and i suspect they will get more not less. so no it doesnt matter.

Lesser of two evils is subjective. If you had asked the left back when Kerry/Obama were wanting to bomb Assad over the (alleged) use of gas on his people...

What ever happened with that anyway? I saw support for bombing Assad "just a little" back then and now the same people support bombing ISIS to aid Assad.

Back then we were told how much worse gassing was than shooting, what changed? Why are we are we now doing Assad's work?

and yet no one else was killed/injured in the blast..ISIS is starting to reach..what are they gonna do without any hostages?

it is being reported that a cleric within the group renounced the killing of the jordanian pilot as being too harsh (prior to the killing)..is going on trial now.
