Issues Germinating Seeds for DWC

I am having trouble finding a good place to germinate my seeds for DWC.

I put about 12 seeds in a moist paper towel and stashed them in the closet in my room. The issue is that even with the thermostat cranked the room only gets up to 66 degrees Fahrenheit. I read about someone using the top of their monitor, so I tried this, and the paper towel dried out very quickly.

Any tips/tricks/suggestions?

I had the same problem.. closet stays cold in the winter.. used to stick them in there in the summer time

I now just set a towel folded up on the back of the top of my pc.. place the baggy with the paper towels in it.. power supply and cpu all vents out the back.. heat rises.. mine stays around 80F.. germs in a couple days usually :weed:

i germed about 12 seeds and waited about 3 weeks and nothing. i tried a different method, and it worked. I put it in a pellet of soil, place the pellet in a sandwich bag, sprayed water in the bag, close it, and wrapped the bag in a heating pad, two days later it has already sprouted through the top.

Yeah I had been wondering about soil. I was thinking about just germing them in some soil and when they got big enough just put them in rockwool/grodan in the main DWC bubbler system. Anyone else do this? I think when I start using my light the temps in my closet will go up satisfactorily.

I put them in wet paper towel and place in a ziplock bag. I put that on top of my fridge and cover it with a paper bag so they wont get light. In 36 hours all of them are ready to plant. 98% germ rate.

too much heat and stress light times may cause your plants to hermie or be mostly male. Just do the paper towel and when the taproot shows plant. 1-3 days they will sprout. put the sprout in the rockwool.
