Hello everyone!

I've been using this forum to gain knowledge on growing. But never created an account until this shit happened. This is my very first attempt and obviously I failed as the tap root was healthy and then just shrunk to that little piece of crap :'(

Is there anything I can do with this or am'I just going to have to toss it?

Bury the cube in the rocks and water it it'll grow into the rocks and down to the bucket where It needs to b. it's still good by far.

I have a plastic bag over all of my seedlings (or have them in the dome); they really benefit from humidity until they look strong enough to withstand direct light and wind.

ok so I'm an idiot i went ahead and fucked with it before reading advice >.< I tore open the rockwool very carefully and removed it without touching the white part of the root. I then put it into another rockwool cube that was soaked in 5.5-5.8 ph water so that was fine but did i just stunt my plant by doing that? Retarded, I know.

i believe were using very similar veg light fixtures, if not the same. point being, your little seedling does not need that much light. i promise you that. i have vegged plants several time with too much light. you end up with a very short and very bushy plant that only allows light on the very top nodes. (i made the mistake with some auto's a few years back)

plants dont need near as much light during veg. node spacing is very important. too little space leaves no room for bud.

i use one reflector per plant with a 23 watt cfl, it goes a long way my man

Ya that wasnt the smartest thing you could have done to that fresh tap root. It looked fine to me, maybe a little over watered which is why it didn't have any other roots. It might come back in that new cube. I also do the plastic bag/turkey bag trick to keep the humidity up around those leaves. Do not fertilize until there are 3-4 sets of leaves, because there is plenty of food for them to get started
