It's Not So Easy Buying A New Couch

they actually call them "sofas".

been looking for 3 weeks now. had a nice recliner sofa picked out when we realized the kitties would end up behind it and we'd crush one of them.

today we started looking at regular sofas. find a few nice ones, but we have to go back to 4 or 5 stores to reshop.

we'll change our mind again before it's all over.

i'm sitting in the middle of my living room on a lawn chair.

Lazy Boy is expensive but fuck they are comfortable I could indulge in a long couch lock on a lazy boy anyday

I'm in the same boat, I can't make decisions very well and big purchases leave me stressed out trying to decide, Good luck, let us know what things you take into consideration other than the pet crushing potential.

comfort first.

height. i have a bad knee so height from the floor is important.

durability of material. i'm messy.



we had our eye set on a red, leather recliner couch. until we thought about the cats. :(

I invested a large amount of money on a lazy boy sofa, its sooo fucking comfortable. I prefer it to my bed. I SLEEP on it 100 percent of the time lol

I'm looking at custom built leather chaise lounge or Astro Chaise lounge from Macys or a reclining loveseat with a center console and I'm confused so much i'm ready to give up and keep sitting in my chair I have now, it was a great deal, I found it in the trash, it's ripped old messed up leather and it's comfortable

I grabbed a new living room set off craigslist last week and picked up a great deal for only 1200.

Got the tv stand,couch with a fucking phone and massagers built in and coffe/end tables.All matching.
Everything looks brand new except for the love seat with one little burn hole.

We have cats, and leather furniture. Trust me, kittens can get into trouble no matter what kind of couch you have. Just make sure you provide them with something they can scratch on, and put tape on the corners to discourage them for awhile and you'll be styl'n. Any kind of couch or chair that reclines can be dangerous for a cat....you just have to be aware and careful.

so i grab my wad of cash and head out the door. today is the day i'm coming home with a new couch. we go back to the furniture store and find one we like. i say "let's just do this and be done". sales dude comes over and i say "can i just wheeel this to the back of my truck and go?" he says let me check. then comes back and says "it takes 2 to 4 weeks to have your sofa built". i had no idea. thought it was a same day kinda thing.

so we start looking again. if i have to order it, i'm gonna make sure i get the one i want. so we look and find another one we really like. we get all the measurements on it and are ready to buy it. just gotta make sure it will fit in my room. we get home and the damn thing is HUGE. we could fit it in here, but we'd have to walk over it to get past it.

we have started all over again now.
