Its spring!- Chisel plow time!

O.k heres the digs. What I suggest everyone do. Especially if you live in the city. Its the chisel plow method. This is what my friend Ron calls it. Its not complicated. It is basically finding a place around the city to grow and being smart about the guerilla operations. Step one- Find a spot. This can be a fun recreational task. Park your car (if you have one) far from the grow area. Parked cars along roadsides that aren't your in front of your property look very suspicious. Take off on foot or bike. A recreational trail is perfect or state land as well. A nature park, near a cemetery, or a river or somthin. Just walk/ride around until you find a place thats promising. Any kind of a place that is visited by people not thinking about growing pot is ok.

Step 2- Be sneaky. Don't be afraid. Look like you have a purpose for going where you decide. Recreation is not illegal. Just don't red flag yourself as a pot grower by over doing it. Like carrying pots, plants, and supplies into the area. This is where chisel plow comes in. Ron carries just seeds and a narrow paint scraper in his pocket. you might even be able to get away with a back pack if your in the right spot but it is risky.

Step 3- Be sneaky. Be quick. Look out for nosey people. although most people wont suspect a lone person of conspiracy to grow, keep an eye on anyone near your spot. Try and vary the time a bit. People can be creatures of habit leaving for dog walks and things at certain times and you don't want to see people when you're doing this. Going around dusk is also bueno. Design the walk/ride to end up in the spotty spot at dark if possible with out being too suspicious. You don't want to lurk around the area until night comes.

Step 4- Go off the beaten path. Slowly scope out some spots within the spot. Think it out for a few. Day light, accessibility, traffic, stealth. Should all be factors. You will want to find a land mark to remember where to go to check your stuff later. A different looking tree, limb, stump, or bush work well. Also if you plan to tend the crop at night time. look for something visible/findable at night time.

Step 5- Drop the beans. pull up any weeds or grass in the patch but try not to draw attention to it. The narrow paint scraper works well to plow the soil and it fits in yo pocket. I would try and get some water crystals which keep the soil from drying out as easy. They are easy to get a hold of and don't take up a lot of room. I would also mix in some extended release fertilizer. Grow quite closely and drop lots of seeds. Then thin out the weak ones later. There will be some weak ones. Some will not sprout also. You also don't want to leave the patch with anything except your paint scraper/tool so that if for some reason you get stopped or questioned after planting or leaving a patch that is all you have. You also don't want to leave a patch looking like you've been playing in the dirt. Wear somthin kinda dirty to begin with, and darker colors too (don't dress like a ninja though.) You might wanna bring a small bottle of water and couple brown paper towels to wash your hands when your done. but try and not get dirty.

Step 6- Tending. Again, plan you're route so you arrive at your patch right at dark if you cant go undetected during the day. If you use a bike make sure you stash it good when you arrive. don't lose your bike either. Don't make a path to your patch. The beauty of this is you don't want to visit your patch often. Just an initial thinning/ topping/ mulching(use materials from around the site so theres not a patch of visible dirt and it blends in). Then a check early summer about a week after it gets good and hot. This will tell you that you probably need more crystals- They are thirsty plants. If your plants are doing good you might wanna do a mid summer check. You might want to carry some light supplies like green fishing line to train/tie down your long distance babies. don't get crazy though keep it simple. Talkin stuff you can fit in a pocket. Try to bring only what you need. Don't litter your patch and try not to leave a patch with suspicious materials on you in the event you are stopped. Then theres sexing. Dump the males close together and well hidden. Don't leave a trail of males all the way to your stash. Don't plan on bringing out any plant material other than Harvested bud. It's not worth it.

Harvest- this is the most risky part. Remember be sneaky. Your patch should be easily accessible so you can get in and out quick and back to being a not pot growing person as quick as possible. I would definitely do this at night or so you're finished at night. just try to not see anyone and don't bring any extra material home with you. Just the Buds. I would try a few different patches as this method does not produce a whole lot is pretty simple.

Tow years ado I had two successful plants along the R/R one was right behind a factory. So close I could hear them on lunch break when I would sneak to check on them! although the night I harvested my friend almost walked into the headlights of a cop car sitting looking into the woods across the tracks behind an industrial park. I would still say a good place. They run east and west here and get a whole days worth of bright sunny sunshine. The weeds along the tracks grow a ton so they blend in really well. So well you might forget where to look. a east/west country roadside might be good for this too. just make sure you plant in the spring or the weeds will be up too high.
